Walking With Giants is not designed around ticking sightings off a list. It is a field journey into the dry river systems, community lands, commercial farms and pastoral landscapes where people and desert-adapted elephants share the same country.
Travellers learn how elephants move, communicate, feed and respond; why conflict develops around water and livestock; and how Himba communities read and live within this demanding landscape.

Meet Hendrick Munembome
Hendrick is a traditional Himba from Namibia’s Kunene Region, an experienced elephant behaviour specialist and a long-serving director involved in practical human-elephant coexistence work.
He works with rural communities to teach elephant behaviour, improve safety and help people respond more effectively when elephants, livestock and human settlements overlap.
This journey is built around Hendrick’s knowledge, lived experience and community relationships. He does not interpret the northwest from outside. It is his home landscape.
