Hotels and selected campsites anchor the route, with time for local stories, the landscape and wildlife. Hiking, cycling, photography and hosted cultural experiences can be shaped into the final programme where access and local agreements allow.

Fuel: plan the gaps, not a promise

Use roughly 250 km as a fuel-status check target where practical, not as guaranteed station spacing. The F symbols mark town-area planning points, not exact pump locations. A source-listed outlet does not confirm today’s stock or hours. Proposed checks without a source are unverified and must not be relied on. NAA must set the vehicle’s required range and reserve for the longest confirmed supply gap, diversions and game drives. Do not rely on Etosha camp pumps without direct confirmation.

Two Land Cruisers, each with two guests and its own driver-guide.

Request for 4 Guests

The four-guest estimate retains two driver-guides and two vehicles to honour the three-guest limit per Land Cruiser. It therefore does not assume the usual saving from putting all four guests in one vehicle. These are editorial budget estimates, not supplier quotes or confirmed offers. Season, room category, vehicle specifications and access arrangements may change the final price. The operator will confirm applicable taxes and the total before you commit.

Budget assumptions

  • 17 nights combining hotels and camping, including Mowani, Etosha and riverside camping at TimBila. Camping equipment and meal arrangements must be specified in the operator quotation.
  • Land Cruiser transport, fuel and driver-guide costs for the stated vehicle arrangement.
  • Breakfasts, a mix of lodge dinners and an allowance for scheduled route activities.
  • Airport transfers and an allowance for park entry and a permitted Sperrgebiet excursion.

Outside this estimate

  • International flights, visas and personal travel insurance.
  • VAT, personal spending, gratuities and meals or drinks outside the agreed programme.
  • Optional flights, specialist filming, equipment hire and additional activities.
  • Single rooms, upgrades and any extra vehicles beyond the stated arrangement.
